The first story in this book, The Mermaid Egg, is about a lost beach ball that ends up on an African beach and the animals that discover it and what they make of it… possibly a mermaid egg. The second story, The Mango Tree, is about an army of ants foraging for food in the jungle, due to a drought there is a short supply, until they spot a huge mango high up in a tree, they proceed to ask the help of various animals reach the Mango... but will they achieve their feast ?
